Mama Loves - Hello!

Hey look! I've started a new blog! Yay!

Now I really didn't want to begin this blog with the typical "Welcome" post but I find myself sitting here writing one anyways. Gotta start somewhere!

"Mama Loves" is a blog for my family and friends to read and enjoy. I am looking forward to sharing little tidbits of my life including things like my daughter growing up (who doesn't love showing off their kids?), Recipes, Good Books, Organic/All Natural information and articles, Crafty things and the like. I just hope I can keep up this blog more so than the last one I had. Some of you may remember my "Sarah's Kitchen" blog from awhile back. I loved writing about foods and cooking but then I found out I was pregnant and after that, the thought of writing about food just didn't appeal to me as much!! I never experienced morning sickness but for awhile I had bouts of nausea so I steered clear of certain foods for awhile (and writing about them!).

So you might be wondering what the heck "Mama Loves" means? It is a phrase I use with my daughter, usually when I'm holding her. I'll go "Mama Loves!!!" and its pretty much short for "Mama Loves you" or "I love you".  Sometimes I will say "Baby loves?" asking if she loves me too or to show me loves and give kisses and hugs (though she doesn't know how to do those quite yet!)

Most of you know my daughter or know of her. Her name is Kahlan Marie. She was born July 15, 2011 at 4:48pm. She weighed 7lbs 6oz and was 20.5 inches long. She is now a little over 8 months and has her two bottom teeth about halfway in. She has been rolling across the floor to get at what she wants but today I caught her getting up onto her hands and knees several times!! I couldn't believe it! Looks like she may crawl very soon! She also just started eating finger foods. I give her puffs and soft mushy foods like banana or avacado. She is getting the hang of feeding herself. OH! and she also says "Mama" its her favorite thing to say. I have been trying to get her to say "Dada" but no luck yet :(

Anywhoways, I just wanted to sort of introduce you to "Mama Loves" and say hello! I hope you will all enjoy reading!! Happy Spring!  :)
